production process

Sketch → Line art → Coloring → File prep → E-mail to you!

Even before I start sketching I'll be working on your commission by brainstorming and often compiling my own references in addition to those you provide. If your artwork is of a character I don't know, you can bet I'll be going to the wiki to learn what I can about them to make sure I get them right!

Each phase requires your approval before I move forward. When I contact you with a preview, that's your chance to direct me to make any changes as the work starts to take form. I don't currently charge for light revisions but I may charge an additional fee for having to make LOTS of revisions, having to make a BIG revision to the line art, or having to make a revision AFTER the piece has been completed.

you want to tip me?? :')

Tipping is not necessary but is greatly appreciated. If you’d like to tip me, you can buy me a coffee or two or ten on Ko-fi.

general

  • I reserve the right to decline any commission work for any reason ranging from personal time constraints to what I deem as inappropriate subject material.

  • Base prices are subject to change based on demand.

  • Final price for a project is determined at the discretion of the artist based on content and usage.

rights and usage

for you, the customer

  • You may upload and display the commissioned artwork on whatever websites / social channels you want.

  • Please give full credit to me as the artist. NEVER claim you were the one that made the artwork.

  • The commissioned artwork is created for your own personal and/or promotional use; not for commercial resale. This means you cannot sell or reproduce the artwork for profit. Commercial use may be negotiated separately depending on the project. Please contact me specifically for info on pricing/agreements.

  • Any print-ready files you receive from me are intended for personal art prints to display as you please. Any physical prints you make yourself or have printed by a third party are not to be sold. Promotional distribution is allowed so long as the printed material is distributed for free (i.e. business cards, packaging stickers, info cards).

  • Please do not modify or edit the artwork I make for you. I will gladly make revisions for you or reformat it if you're struggling with the files. I will not typically charge for revisions that can be made easily but I may ask for a fee for more complex revisions.

my rights retained

  • I retain the right to display the artwork I create for you as part of my portfolio, on my website, and on my social media pages. This also applies to use in art books and art streams as well.

  • I retain the sale and reproduction rights.

  • I will not sell prints of personal artworks created for you (i.e. of you, your friends, family, or OCs).

  • I may make prints of impersonal / fan art commissions of well known characters. If I like your fan art idea enough to want to make prints or other merch, I might even offer you a discount on your commission price and/or include a free print/item.

turnaround time

Unfortunately art isn't my only job right now so I can only work on commissions during certain days of the week. The average time it can take before you receive your files is 1-4 weeks depending upon my schedule, current workload, and scale of the project. The turnaround time for physical prints depends on the print and mail services. (You can inquire about rushing your commission/print for an additional fee if you need it for a specific date and I'll see what I can do.)

payment

I'll be able to give an accurate price based on the info you provide. Payments must be made up front, I will not begin working on your commission until the full amount has been paid.

I only accept payment in USD through Square's email invoicing service (similar to Paypal). All payments made are subject to Square's terms and conditions. Foreign exchange rates may apply to transactions involving other currencies. Do not send me any payment before I agree to your project. We will agree on a price and then I will email you an invoice to pay. You do not have to download any apps to pay the Square invoice, all I need is your email. You will be directed from the invoice email to Square's website to pay.

Please be sure that you are seriously interested in commissioning me. From the sketch phase on I will be working hard to make you a unique artwork tailored to your specifications. Partial refunds will only be provided before the coloring phase has commenced, after the work is colored it is considered finished and no further refunds will be provided for the work that has been done.

If for any reason I am personally unable to start or complete your order, you will receive a full refund.
